Jill Jennings

I have always enjoyed drawing and have studied with interest the relevant work of such artists as Wilhelmina Barns Graham, Victor Pasmore, Ben Nicholson , Barbara Hepworth and Paul Klee. As a result, some years ago I began using line, rather than paint, to describe what I wanted. I am now experimenting with trying to develop this further, using more colour, and am finding the interplay of shapes and lines most intriguing. Guernsey is my great love and I use its rock shapes and marks of sea upon sand as the starting point for most of my work.

I have exhibited with New Road Artists and also with the Winchester Art Club (Bell Fine Art Prize 2001), Alresford Art Society, 2D3D South and in various other mixed shows, including Mottisfont.

My work is in private collections as far afield as Australia and U.S.A. and nearer home, in France and the Channel Islands, as well as UK.
